Servicing a V12 in Bedfordshire

Hi
I'm looking to buy a series 3, XJ40 or X300 v12, most likely a Japanese import. Does anyone know any good indy's or mechanics in Beds/Bucks? I called a Jaguar Specialist in Milton Keynes but they didn't want to service the V12. Any help much appreciated.

A Jaguar "specialist" that won't touch them is actually a "changing brake pads on X Types" monkey, although sadly I've met a few who are scared of it. Shout out to Mistermatic in Swansea who didn't bat an eyelid at the possibility of taking the heads off the V12 in my XJRS other than to say sometimes they can be seized on but that's not the end of the world - that's a proper Jaguar specialist.

Are you able/willing/equipped to do work on them at home? They're not bad to work on at all (generally), although every job is time consuming because there is so much of it.

Thanks - I've read this a lot on the forums that it doesn't need a specialist to service it. I'm not especially adept at mechanics myself but I will look for a local non specialist mechanic rather than a Jaguar specialist. It was a respected specialist ( advertise in Jaguar World etc) who said they would not consider working on it.
