Jaguar XK

I’m at present thinking of buying a Jaguar XK but can’t decide between the coupe or a convertible, is the convertible as good as the coupe, I’m not too bothered about boot space but need the car for most days but not everyday use. Finally what are the pitfalls of XK/XKR ownership please .

Defiantly the x150 model as the earlier shape doesn’t do it for me, I was going for a convertible as there’s one very close to me, it’s a December 05 XK but it’s got the XKR bonnet fitted which I find odd as the car hasn’t got the supercharger fitted, but the car looks really nice for the price.

Yes it’s def the later shape x150, I thought they didn’t come out till 06, it’s 11k but in nice condition and I’m a bit lazy regarding travelling across the country and this one is only 1/2 mile away, I’m looking at a coupe tomorrow but prefer the soft top .

What I don’t quite get is that this XK is registered on 1st dec 2005 and yet it’s said that the XK came out 2006 .

I finally bought my own XK convertible today a 2006 version and I’m told that is a portfolio version, looks great and goes great , I pick it up tomorrow.

Mine in black with the ivory interior a 4.2 portfolio, I’ve got a bit of a vibration when going above 70 all through the car , I’ve had the fronts balanced when I changed a tyre but think it may be the rears , they are big tyres on the back, I do like the car very much so far.
