Been given a £30k budget for a replacement company car and this time I was thinking about an SUV.

I’ve looked at a few SUVs and really quite like the E Pace, especially in R Dynamic HSE spec, however I’m getting some extremely negative comments from colleagues about the E Pace when comparing to the GLC/Q3/X3.

After 15 years of the usual German stuff I really wanted a change and although couldn’t give a toss about the comments, as the money isn’t mine, I thought I should at least seek out a bit of feedback here

TIA

The negative comments above are pretty much in line with the comments made by colleagues.

The XC40 in R design spec is outside my budget as I've got to work within certain price/mileage/age parameters rolleyes

And I know the BIK is going to be pretty horrendous, but as I'm already on that conveyor belt of giving HMRC £400 plus a month it somehow doesn't feel too bad. Owned a TVR for over 10 years, so I know how to spend money on a car!

Thanks for the feedback though, I had nagging doubts, I guess this just confirms them

No doubt I'll be back on posting a photo of one in the near future hehe

We've got an epace 2.0 180. Is it the nicest engine ever? No. It is a 2.0 turbo diesel, fine for the car though. It is a nice place to spend a day, quick enough, handles well enough. When we were looking (18 months ago) it was the best option at the price. I would have rather stretched a bit and gone volvo though.

We also have an ftype v8r which is a more exciting proposition, can't get the dogs in though.

2 jags, am I john Prescott?
That nick named had cross my mind until I bought the German, looking forward to getting the F Type next year, although an M3 is starting to look tasty hehe

I tackled that issue by buying a third one biggrin
Back down to only 2 though now but one is an XKR so even more punch than Mr Prescott.
I’ve not considered an XKR, as I’ve been focused purely on the F Type, am I missing a trick by not doing so?

Well it's rather different from an E-Pace!

However they stopped making them in 2014, so if you like new metal that may bother you. At present Jaguar have no 'grand tourer' 2+2 in their range, and the so the line XJS > XK8 > XK is extinct. If you're after horsepower I think the 5.0 XKR has 520bhp, more than a V12 Aston.
Yeah I’m jumping around a bit, the E Pace was going to be a company car, the F Type is to replace my Tamora, the E Pace option is gone now but the toy will definitely be a Jag

Standard 5.0 XKR is 503bhp. The XKR75 limited edition was 520bhp. Then the R-S was 542.
Thanks. Either me or Autotrader got their wires crossed.

Apols to the OP for over-promising 17bhp!
XKR-S 575bhp according to Autotrader adverts, I assume these are independent dealerships that don't really know what's

XKR lovely, feel dated inside though.
Ftype more lovely, much more modern interior (still behind the Germans though) and more loutish. It is the sensible option following TVR ownership.
Loutish..............great word!
