I recently came across this XJ C Series 2 going up for Auction soon , I would have to look up my Production Stats but this would be a pretty rare Manual version would it not ? Craig ?

Saw half a dozen or so XJ coupes at Syon Park, no manuals though, a few restored others needing some cash. Only one XJ saloon though... are they now becoming rarer?
As you no doubt know , I think its a question of restoration costs exceeding the cars actual value and many cars simply arent being restored . When asked I always point People looking for an XJ in the direction of the X350 , for working men on a budget or indeed anyone looking for a weekend drive with a Picnic Hamper in the Boot , they are just so easy to own and work on and the Model Range has something for everyone . Earlier Steel Cars by comparison can be a money pit for the unwary .

I had an XJ350, 2.7D, I loved it, but she did not love me... bushes, struts, compressor, and complete engine failure pushed me towards Audi.... A well sorted or cared for X300 or X308 would, perhaps have been more reliable...
I have had several X350 all Petrol and never an issue . I favour it over the X300 or X308 simply because of the method of construction , its also to my mind a better driving dynamic . I think your list of problems are pretty unusual for the Model arent they ? I wouldn't buy a Diesel Jaguar so its a genuine question
