Jaguar XF sportbrake petrol vs Diesel V6 real world MPG.
Discussion
I’ve got my eye on a few sportbrakes, high spec models, one is V6 and the other is a petrol both 2019 model year.
Does anyone own a petrol sportbrake on here, what is the i4 engine like? Mpg around town, auto trader says 31mpg, other places differ.
I don’t undertake many miles a year hence why I’m attracted to the petrol, at the moment I’m driving a transporter TSI which is not the best on fuel, would like some improvement on 27mpg.
My understanding is the diesel V6 is a very nice engine and more sought after, again real world mpg around town from any owners on here be a great insight.
Any advice be greatly received.
Cheers
Andy

Thanks everyone for the replies, some really insightful comments.
In the end I went for the boring option and stuck with VW namely a Passat GTE, the hybrid system works well for my short journey's around town and in estate form I can still carry all my kit.
Hopefully Jaguar comes out with a hybrid XF sport brake soon.
