It’s just been announced that within a couple of years Jaguar will have reduced their UK dealerships from 83 to under 20.
So much for having persuaded dealerships to spend millions on new showrooms. Jaguar want to sell cars themselves directly on line and the dealerships just hand the cars over. So for the customers it’s a lose, lose situation. Unlikely to haggle on price on line and for most not having a local dealerships to call into.
From 2025 their electric only cars will be well over £100k so is this the last roll of the dice for Jaguar?

As I’ve said in my original post a few days ago , it’s just announced that 83 dealerships will reduce to less than 20 over the next couple of years so the effects won’t be seen immediately.

Hopefully some thorough and knowledgeable independents will come out of this. It would be good for the older cars to have a better network of independents. Some classics, XJS, XJ40/300/308 models have been allowed to deteriorate quicker than similar aged German brands would have done. A number of the independents that I used 20 years ago were approaching retirement then so who has taken over from them ?
