Evening, anyone know if there is a buyers guide to s6 v10s floating about anywhere or a list of potential issues and costs. Are these as bad as an e60 m5?

Just spoken to a chap about one. Any more pointers on what to look for appreciated. Any decent owners sites I should investigate?

Ta.

Two 06 plates on AT, one 13k one 16k talk about a lot of car for the money! but both black and I hate black cars.
Currently talking to the chap with the £13k one...

Does the 4wd system of these have issues with different tread depths on the front and rear tyres?

Other than putting the car on a set of rollers, is there a way to determine whether it suffers from a coking issue. the car in quetion has about 88,000 miles, FASH and 2 owners so it appears to have been driven and maintained as it should.

Cheers chaps, The one I'm looking at needs a couple of boots, pads all round and a CV boot and a bush in the link arm. I'm guessing if I budget a grand or so it should see the car sorted?

I am looking for a fast estate to replace my 530i and was only looking to spend £10k max, but thsi S6 looks like value and is making me think.

Didn't even drive it? Turns out the pictures in the add are 18 months old and it doesn't appeared to have been loved since. Unwashed inside and out, appeard to have had some paint but couldn't properly examine as it was dirty, may have also have spent its life going through car washes from all I could tell.

Boot motor had failed dropping the corner of the boot on to the roof, taking the paint off and denting it, this hasn't been touched in and was rusting, the boot hadn't been recentred.

Seller couldn't find all the paperwork, whilst services had been carried out by audi, additional works had been completed by the "local lads".

Passenger bolster was badly worn and the whole interior looked pretty shabby, not helped by the rubberised coverings wearing off some switches and the quality of the leather being pretty average.

My e39 which is 4 years older and has another 20 k miles on it felt significantly fresher.

All in all it didn't feel "right".
