New thread to keep the chat off the main lease deals thread.

I've ordered a Sportback in Navarra blue with red interior and flat-bottomed wheel.

Looks like everyone else has gone for virtual cockpit. Should I try to add it to my order..?

Hmm. Ok, I think I'll add the virtual card cockpit if I can.

I'm still not sure I should have gone for the sportback over the coupe though. laugh

Could the OP post the link for the lease deal please?
The deals available are being discussed in the 'Best lease deals' thread in the 'car buying' sub-forum.

There is no specific deal to link to as there are multiple brokers and at least one Audi dealer offering very good prices at the moment.

I've added virtual cockpit to my order now.

That's definitely it though now. £1,000 of options on a lease car is more than enough for me.

Thanks for the link. Watched a bit earlier. Heated seats in the back of the S5 too? (I thought it just mentioned the fronts on the spec)
It's an option, Nick.

Fronts as standard; fronts and outer rears as an option.

Another YouTube vid here with an opportunity to hear the S5 through the gears from inside.

https://youtu.be/i8a74oD_m-I

It's in German so go to 23 mins for the interesting bit if you won't understand the rest of the audio.

Someone mentioned in the lease thread that they wouldn't go for the S5 due to the torque converter 'box but it's a good one (basically the same 8-speed ZF that's in my current BMW) and it looks like they've got the changes programmed to mimic a DCT quite closely - something I think Audi previously didn't do as well as BMW, from experiencing friends' cars.

It doesn't seem unacceptably 'slushy' to me, from what the video can get across. We will find out for sure when the cars get delivered...

Very nice! I'm also coming from a Golf R but this is definitely a step up IMO. The Golf R is a lot of car to beat though especially at the price we got it for. I'm disappointed that stuff like 'Hill Assist', 'Folding Mirrors' and 'ACC' is not standard on the S5.
Is ACC available as an option on the S5 though? (I actually thought it was standard)
ACC is part of the Driver Assistance pack which is £1250

simonwhite2000, you were with me being one of the first to jump on the V4B 3+23 deal, have you heard anything back from them other than the initial sign of paperwork?

I'm reading this thread and talk of finance company's and Audi build dates, and I've heard nothing.

I'm not wanting it till the end of March anyway, but was just curious if you'd any more info through?

I just spoke to Tom at V4B then mate before seeing this!

My order was logged as soon as I sent the paperwork out. The Audi dealership will share order references early january (he did say he could get it now but they wont really start moving through the order stages till early Jan - it will just show as order with factory). I asked about the private plate process and if I could pay for options upfront with the dealer (you can).
Some leasing companies I have gone through give a bi-weekly update just reconfirming the build week etc but V4B dont seem to be that organised (neither were Fleet Prices I have dealt with).

I plan to call him back mid Dec and make sure everything is on track still and re-confirm the private plate process before delivery mid Feb. Also want to make sure the dealer is fully aware not to wash or clean the vehicle under any circumstances.
Cheers for the update, when I called him a month or so ago he confirmed everything was ok, but never really gave an idea or a timeline as to whats next.

Just need to sit back then, it's going to be a long winter!
Similar for me really. It was the same with my previous lease through a different broker though so I haven't given it much thought.

I know there's an Audi dealer somewhere dealing with my car, but only because V4B contacted them to see if it was ok to add the VC to my order when I changed my mind, so I know it's ordered at least!

Just been looking on the Audi website and rather annoyingly you can get a black styling pack for the new Audi S4 but, as we know, not the new S5.

I actually think the A4 headlamps are more agressive and with the black styling pack added it looks very nice. Given there are cheap lease deals on the S4's now part of me is tempted to switch over to an S4 avant in black with the black styling kit. Hmmmmmmmm
If you are going to swap I'd try to do it asap as I know said you were using V4B for the S5 and there's a hefty cancellation clause in their contracts, once past the obligatory cooling off period.

will be looking to move to an s4 monday morning. 3k down 259 a month on a 9+23 with 10k. saves 100 a month
Those prices are plus VAT.

Either you're going to save very little over the S5 or you were paying far too much for the S5 in the first place.

Mine has been at the quality control stage most this week and dealer advises 1st week January as an expected arrival onto forecourt.

I will be looking to get the grill and window frames wrapped in first few weeks... does anyone know anywhere near Glasgow that does this and approximately how much it would cost? Also will the wrap remove and leave behind no residue when I return the car.

Also does anyone know if there are any tuning boxes available for the car yet? Would definitely be interested in adding a box to release a bit more power, however a bit concerned that the early boxes may cause damage or leave markers in the engine coding which could affect warranty... Any Thoughts on this?

Has anyone managed to get a current s5 brochure as the one linked to my myaudi tracking is the old model.

Cheers
If you're thinking of adding a tuning box to what is, effectively, a hire car, it's not the warranty that's your main concern.

If for any reason Audi notice evidence of it, you might have trouble with them saying you've devalued their car and then demanding compensation from you.

Yours will be an 'experimental' build. They're practising on it to make sure they can get mine absolutely perfect.

Finally saw the Nav Blue S5 Coupe at Cheshire Oaks - pic files are too big so ill get them on later.
Not quite as taken by the colour having seen it in the metal but the privacy glass makes a difference so it makes me realise I have done the right thing cancelling my S5 (even though its now in uk).
Also got a pic of the red leather ill put up shortly as iI know a few people have ordered it
Did you have any trouble cancelling with V4B?

I assume you've had to order the new one immediately to avoid the hefty cancellation charges?

What spec' have you gone for now?

Ill find out tomorrow if i get a fee or any charges. Wont be happy if I do as I want another order going in asap if they charge me anything ill just wait for the next lease bargain thats around the corner. I cancelled with VW on an R lease once and they waived the 300 as we were getting the mrs a Polo GTI. Ita hard to order a car months before being able to see one in a showroom. lead times are 4 months now though not the 2 months i got
It's not so much the £300 (or whatever) I'd be bothered about; it's the 15% of P11D value which they quote on the contract as being the cancellation charge - so roughly £7,500 on an S5. Sounds like you've done well to avoid that!

Have they said if the one you're now going to order in its place will be at the same price as before, given that the prices have risen considerably now?

When I say considerably, I mean massively actually: http://www.vehiclesforbusiness.co.uk/personal-leas...
