From A6 BiTDI to 2016 RS3?

I am considering swapping my late 2013 A6 Avant BiTDI with 40.000 km to a 2016 RS3 with 15.000 km. Price to swap: about 15.000 euro.

I mainly use the A6 for long motorway hauls in France and Germany, which it does very well (thanks to the large fuel tank and relative economy of the BiTDI engine) but after a string of M cars, I have an itch for something more interesting and indeed faster.

I find the RS3 package intriguing, well-packaged (mega) hot-hatch and that engine, but does it work as long distance hauler (the specific RS3 I am looking at does not have magnetic ride) and is the range acceptable?

Thanks, 300 miles is quite limited, not much better than the E92 M3 I got rid off (about 250 miles) for lack of range.

Any comments about how essential magnetic ride is?
