Anyone gone from Golf R to S4?

I'm looking at replacing the Golf R with an S4, has anyone done this?

Is the S4 similar in performance on A/B roads? Is the MPG a killer compared to the golf?

Anything worth knowing about the S4 other than the spec stuff.

I'll be choosing a standard model.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've placed an order for a standard spec in black and should get it in March.

Doesn't sound like the MPG will be too much of an issue.

Looking forward to it, I might miss the agility of the Golf, but the comfort should make up for it as i'm getting old
