Open to ideas and suggestions as to why my Golf (Mk6 GTI 73k miles) is handling like a dog......

In general where it used to feel planted and stable it feels flighty and nervous. Dunno if I'm been overly sensitive but on the motorway it seems more choppy.

On open road right hand bends it's no longer tracking a steady arc but is skitish and the stability program is going nuts. On left handers the best description is jelly like.

Tyre pressures are fine and there are no grinding, crashy, creaky, of squealing noises.

Tyres are fine, two are pretty new.

It's going for a service and MOT next week anyway when this will get flagged but being honest I was fishing around for any possible known issues I'd not
picked up on without doing the internet leg work myself.

What sort of tyres are on it?

I'm no tyre snob, but "it used to be fine, now it's not, two tyres are pretty new" points a finger that way.
It's a fair point.

It's a couple of Uniroyal Rainsport. Both rear tyres had nails, one repairable, one not. I was never going to replace only one tyre when the wear difference across the rear would have been huge. Place I was at regarding the repair question didn't have much options and although they'd never be my first choice I didn't think they'd be a bad choice compared to some of the lego tyres that are available these days.

While the tyre theory has been on my mind I would have expected to feel more of a simple lack of traction rather than what I described.
