RS6 Depreciation
Discussion
Hi guys,
I am looking at an 2017 plate, but built 2018 RS6 . How much do we think it will depreciate over 2 and 3 years? Looking at the current selection of RS6 which are 2 or 3 years old on the Audi approved website they seem to be holding onto their value pretty well.
Also the new RS6 is due to come out in the next 12 months but with the 3.0 litre engine which will be significantly less appealing than the current version I believe. Do we think this will make the current RS6 more desirable?
Thanks very much.
Tim

Cheers for all the replies guys. Completely torn.
Pumped various regs into various websites and all of them bar autotrader show a significant hit on the car.
I earn good money (self employed) and have a fair amount of disposable income but I am feeling a little guilty about what I am potentially going to spend and lose on a car. It isn't sensible in any way shape or form haha. But ive loved owning my S5 and want something better but I need a big boot for the new dog!

Just got back from the test drive and it was insanely quick. Incredible car.
This particular car has no options on it at all though. How much is that going to effect the resale?
I am so torn right now. Heart is saying you only ,live once.
Head is saying be sensible and get an E43 Merc or something similar

I've been watching the market like a hawk for a long time now and I'd say they are very, very spec (inc colour) sensitive. Coming from BMW land, a base level RS6 feels a bit poverty spec in comparison with the best wheels as an option and no pano roof, HUD or DRC as standard (my skewed perspective after 8 years in an E60/61 M5) Sepang Blue and Nardo Grey seem popular colours, Misano is a bit marmite and many Misano cars for sale on Autotrader today have literally been on the market for months (another reason why I backed out on a Misano PE purchase)This particular car has no options on it at all though. How much is that going to effect the resale?

Personally I wouldn't want to buy a car like this with without all the toys, pano and HUD are base level requirements IMHO, but as said that's just my perspective.
I keep looking longingly at that Sepang Blue RS6 in stock currently at Audi Nottingham, someone please buy it as it ticks all of my buying criteria apart from not being a PE, it also has a 5 year warranty (but that is probably a bonus hangover from my M5 owning years!)
But I suspect I’m in the minority.
