I'm in the initial process of looking for my next car and have all but decided on the above model.

I have not previously owned an Audi and have a test drive next week so looking for any advice or buying tips to look for. I did a search and the main advice I could find related was the amount of oil that the engine uses, can be slightly on the high side? I wasn't sure if this was on the age of car that I would be looking at.

The car will be approx a 2016/ 2017 age, 1.8/ 2.0 litre petrol with the S tronic gearbox. I do sub 10k miles per year, so mileage on the car at purchase won't be something that I will be worried about.

Advanced thank you for any useful information.

The 1.8 is quite a rare car even more so in saloon form. It was only available in the pre-facelift model IIRC so up to 2016.
I have noticed that there are very few examples around

The 2.0 isn’t worth the extra money over the 1.5TFSI COD which there will be more of, 150bhp but feels like more.

Anything else let me know
Thanks Nick, very detailed reply. I'll see if they have a 1.5 in when I head to see them this week.

Out of curiosity, did you go manual or auto in your engine size?
