Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover....no longer prevents the ingress of dirt Nearside Front Upper (and Offside Front Upper)...

My gfs TTS just failed the MOT on the above. Anybody able to translate as to what this means, likely costs etc?



And on a side note (will probably start a new thread) any recommendations for an Independent Audi Garage in South London?

Basically means the anti roll bar link needs replacing, the protective rubber on one or both of the ends has failed allowing water in.
The one pictured isn’t for your car just an example, usually takes about 30 mins or less to change one on any other car I’ve done.

Depending on how you /GF drive and quality of replacement, expect to change of these every year/two or so with the quantity of tank trps on prsent roads. I can't get down toreplace mine, but SIL does one of mine in circa 10 mins on my Furby. Cost of drop link is circa £15 from ECP etc and all that is needed is a ratchet and socket to fit.
