VW Tiguan mk2 petrol - Feedback

Hi All,

I'm considering a Tiguan petrol as a family weekend and Euro trip car. No commuting. Will only consider petrol, I think 150bhp engines (1.4 or 1.5) or maybe 2.0 if lucky (cost). Traditionally I'm more into estate cars, but the Tiguan looks nice and appeals.

I had a Passat estate (B6) when they were new. Great car, but SO boring to drive... Will the Tiguan be the same? MiL has 1.2 Polo (2012) and its ok but a bit souless...

I have another car for "fun" but just would prefer the family car to have a modicum of involvement (it will replace a BMW 5).

Appreciate I need a test drive but in just 30mins driving might not be able to get a proper feel.
