I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I can't find it anywhere.

I'm looking at modding my 1.2 seat ibiza FR (110HP) with a new turbo, exhaust, Induction kit and remap to take it up to 185HP.
It's a popular mod for this engine, but it's my first time modding a car and I'm wondering if the induction kit is really needed.

I've seen an awful lot of discussions on induction kits vs standard filters which rarely make any difference at all, but these tests are always done on standard engines.
Also, there's the issue of heat with an induction kit

Then there's performance filters, but will this work with the standard air box/hoses?

So, I'm wondering whether to follow the crowd and get an induction kit, get a performance panel filter or just keep it standard?

Anyone got any advice?

Cheers for the responses guys and girls, I was worried I might not get any due to the subject being covered before.

Looks like I'll stick with what I've got then, which I'm glad of since I think it would take a while to save for some of these kits 👍

You need to read my post and find out what the oem intake will flow! No point in doing the turbo and remap to then find out that the OEM intake is limiting power.

Speak to the person who will be remapping it and they will tell you if adding an intake is worth it or not. Some OEM intakes flow ok, some don’t.
Yeah will do, I'll ask when I book it in (and make sure he's not connected to sales haha)
Thanks for the advice 🙂
