I'm thinking about getting a new POLO but the VW website says delays in production of most of the cars because of part shortages. Anyone know what the lead times are now.

Have a GTI on order and quote was 42 weeks.
Thanks,

Just come off p[hone from my local dealer, same as you ordered a GTI delivery late September. Reef Blue with the 18 inch FARO wheels. Got dealer to add reversing camera as not standard now and a three year service plan and first MOT.

Looks great in reef blue. How are you finding it?
The DSG box took a bit of getting used to. But liking it now, a few small things I miss from my 2016 GTI like drawers under the seats, Stowage on nearside under the dash. I goes real quick not pushed it hard yet but it picks up very quickly. The blue shows the dirt more than my old one which was white but not too bad. Overall I like it better than the old one

Picked my car up from the Ayr dealership this morning. It seems to dive well. A lot more comfortable than the I30N if I'm being totally honest. And even in normal driving mode appears pretty nippy.
Just got to give myself time to get used to an automatic again.

Only things that I've picked up on though are:
- The touch controls on the steering wheel seem to get pretty hot!
- Annoying that you can't have the air pointed at your feet, center vents and the front windscreen at the same time.

Can't complain I suppose it that's all I've got to moan about.

Nightmare drive back though. What should have taken about 2 hours coming the scenic route back... took over twice that because of first a bad smash on the A77, then another on the A714. Just life I suppose.

Have you or worsey looked under the bonnet yet? Have you a engine cover? Not on mine questioned the dealer according to them its a VW recall the same as golf R's the cover comes un-clipped and falls down the back of the engine and catches fire. Checked the GOV recall pages they are right about the Golf, no mention og Polo GTI
