Power steering filter........

Given how unreliable TVR power steering racks are alleged to be I would like to fit a filter into the low pressure return hose. The only two self-contained units that I can find are Cardone and MagneFine. However I can only find these from US stockists...anyone know of UK suppliers?
Also, what is the I.D. of the return hose?

I think ATF fluid might be too thick, also I don't know what the pressure in the return hose is. In any event it needs a 1/2" bore. I understand that what I need is also used in auto transmissions (same fluid).
