Standard tyre sizes

I know the fronts came in either 205 or 225, which I believe was for non-PAS and PAS respectively but what about the rears? I've seen posts saying stock is a 225 on the rear but mine are 245/45 16s. Did TVR change their minds at some point on tyre sizes or is it related to engine size?

FYI, I need new rears this year.

Mine is a '97 500 and it is 245 on the rear in the handbook but that size is not available in some of the recommended tyres I've seen discussed. If all 500s had the 245 then I think I will stick with it but was pondering about the 225s mentioned by others as there are more tyres available in this size.
