Hi

I'm in the midst of stripping down my rear hubs and suspect that the hub assembly should just pull away from the hub without too much trouble? Mine are refusing to part, even when I grip the carrier in the vice, place a socket over the hub's spline end and hit it with a hammer. No budging. Nothing. Am I missing something or should I just be less gentle with my persuasion?

Before I removed the oil seal:

I just don't want to break anything by being gung-ho!

TIA

Lee

Thanks for that; as I am sending the hubs away for 5-stud conversion, I may just send the lot over and get them to push 'em out! hehe

Great, thanks Steve. I have asked if Sportmotive will split them for me as I have so many other jobs to do, but if they can't then I know someone with a commercial press, which I may have to borrow.
