15" Estoril wheels seem to be two-a-penny on eBay but 16" wheels, on the rare occasions that you see them, are usually part of a set of four and priced at around about £1000!

I have emailed TVR PARTS Ltd and enquired as to whether it would be possible to commission a run of 16" wheels but have not had a reply.

Fitting big brakes to 15" wheel shod cars can be done but there is little choice. 16" would allow the much vaunted Brembo set-up to be utilised at reasonable cost.

Apart from all of that pothole damage is an ever increasing risk, welding and re-machining being the only cure.

Anyone know how we might pursue this?

There are some attractive alternatives out there and the Softlines are very close in appearance, albeit 17" diameter. However many people, like myself, want originality and that is becoming difficult to maintain.

Pedant mode. You say you want originality but are going to fit 16" wheels to a car supplied with 15" wheels and then look to fit Brembos, doesn't sound original to me hippybiggrin
16" wheels were of course fitted to the final 100 cars so a reasonable alteration to allow the fitting of more effective brakes. Personally I am prepared to deviate from originality if it makes the car safer, more reliable and with improved drivability. Hence I have upgraded to a Canems ecu.

However, it's a shame that TVR Parts Ltd won't, or can't, commission a limited run of wheels as I am sure that they would sell.
