Hi all,

This is probably a regular topic/question that comes up, but apparently the insurance market is very fluid. The classic car insurer I have used my whole classic car ownership period cover both my MG and TVR has just put my Griff premium up from £700 to nearly £2k. Nothing in my situation has changed other than another year of claim free motoring...rug well and truly pulled!

They haven't provided any reason other than "the underwriter has decided". Its obviously their choice but I was alarmed how quickly appetite for risk can change.

Does anyone have any current recommendations for reasonably priced insurers?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Amazing advice guys, thank you all very much for your contribution.

Part of the problem is I insist on using the car for everything, all the time, including driving to clients which means I need "business use" cover.

Lancaster happy to bring the quote inline with previous if i remove business use (it was previously covered) but FJ have come in at £250 inc commuting so think ill switch the business use to the volvo and stick to commuting in the TVR.

Moving to Norfolk shortly so that should hopefully bring it down a bit further too!

Thanks again all

Chris
