Only just joined up after trawling for info on a recently acquired Jag (another saga for that section!)Retired Aircraft Engineer, then teaching, then Medical Engineering with a life-long passion for anything with wheels. 64 next birthday but still tinkering with a home brewed fuel injected Clubman Estate and have had Minis for over 40 years. Also into Jaguars and Honda motorcycles. Now got a nice toy cupboard here in the Orkney Isles - drop in when you're passing, the kettle is always on! I have a little hobby web site with lots of this stuff on at: www.stallard-engineering.co.uk

Best regards to all,
Ian

Hello and welcome to the forum,
Glad you got the fob issue sorted - not totally necessary but damned inconvenient when not working. I wrote an article for the Jag Enthusiasts magazine on the same subject and many folk have had success. Yes, the X308’s do suffer from rust in very inconvenient places and I now have a Daimler X308 which is excellent in all respects - took a long time to find a good one though!

Regards,
Ian
