Mini MPi synchromesh fix cost.

Hi all.

Looking for a bit of guidance folks.

We recently got a 2000 Mini MPi but have realised there is an occasional crunch changing from 3rd to 2nd. Online search tells me this is a known issue.

Can anyone tell me a rough idea of how much fixing this is likely to cost to fix? I appreciate this is quite a big job - engine out. Work would probably be done my a Mini specialist.

We're in Edinburgh, so quite far away, but thanks for the information.

We've spoken with a local Mini specialist who has a good reputation for his work and honesty. Really just looking for anyone who has had this done to get a guide on the price.

Yes, Simon. Had a couple of good chats with him and he's already done a small job on the car.

We were a bit surprised how many cars he's got tucked away in the garage.
