Hi guys,

I'm bringing over my LR 90 from Poland in August, where I've been using it for the last 10 years in competitions/trials etc.

Very much looking forward to meeting the off-road family here in the UK and trying out some of the meets, but first need to sort myself some storage.

The plan is to keep her in my garage here, but i'm about 15cm too high (using rough measurements). And so, came up with the idea of finding some small wheels off a different car to almost use as dolly's just to get the car into the garage. Are there any small cars which share the same hub as a 90? Did Leyland use it for any of their smaller cars? Alternatively are there any semi-low profile tyres which would fit standard Def rims? Would look stupid but would be used purely to roll the car in and out.

Another thought is to compress the springs using belts with ratchets, but I don't think this will give me enough clearance as I'm running large BFG MT's.

Any ideas or thoughts, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

I have an old set of standard defender rims with road tyres, not pretty but may work I can measure the height if that helps. I had them for exactly the same reason for when I was servicing my 90

this sounds promising! No rush though as I have until August, but definitely interested to hear what the diameter is.

the no-tyres solution wouldn't work sadly as it is quite a tight set up to enter the garage and the neighbours would get pissed no end with the marks on the cobbles!
