As per title.

The end of the road is looming, has there been any news on what might follow?

It is supposed to be due out when, 2015? They must have some project for it. No leaks?

You're basing that on when the current one dies.
You mean there wont be a replacement?

How about a pared down Disco, minimal electronics, no trick suspension, hose-out interior, utilitarian, steel bumpers, with a few Defender styling cues. Something people won't mind getting dirty and bashed (as much). For a orice about the same as the current Defender.

Re emissions - I understand the Defender TDCI engine is used in the Ford Transit and some London taxis too. Are they also being killed off?

What makes anyone think there is no market for Defender?

Chrysler sells plenty of Wranglers, a design even older than the Defender.

I have lost count of the number of people - mostly Americans - who have asked to buy my Defender. One said that, if it could be imported to the US, it would sell for six figures. They seem to like them over there.

Is it more than about 50,000 people a year who ask? wink
If you calculate the percentage who have seen it to those who have asked and extrapolate across the population of the US it would be considerably more than 50k. wink
