Velar delivery times. Is there a waiting list?
Discussion
Seems to be on the cover of every motoring magazine this week and looks like a rather nice alternative to the F Pace I was considering.
Interested to hear if anyone here has one on order and what "real world" delivery dates they are being quoted. CAR magazine claims a waiting list, but is that seriously the case?
Reluctant to contact a dealer as I know I'll get the usual "selling like hotcakes, card details now or regret forever more" salesman spiel!

I ordered one back in Feb or March. The dealer is chasing me for specs. I can get it in September.
I have since bought a Full Fat Autobiography and not sure I was to "Step down" to a Velar?
Wondering if it may be worth purchasing, to try and sell for a profit? Do you think I could make a few quid?
All signs are pointing towards these selling at a premium for at least 6 months. First few cars to pop up I imagine will be anywhere from £5k to £10k over list.I have since bought a Full Fat Autobiography and not sure I was to "Step down" to a Velar?

Question is... how likely are you to want to buy another JLR product in the near future? They are just as hot on stamping out resellers as the sports car manufacturers. I know of several people who, after being black listed, thought they would just stroll into a different dealership only to be shown the door as well.

So what happens if you buy one and genuinely hate it but manage to sell it for £5k more than you paid for it?
Firstly, you could do what you do when you receive something from Amazon and don't like it (return it for a full refund). The automotive parallel to this would be selling it back to them for the price paid. Failing that, you do as per the terms of the Contract of Sale which you would have signed - i.e. "account to the dealer for any profit made If the vehicle is sold within the first 6 months".
Most manufacturers have this clause.
