I'm considering a relatively recent (say 2010 onwards) 110 as a family car.
Probably be used mainly for weekends and holidays - and any time we need to move 2 adults, 2 kids, dog and luggage.
They all seem to come with the hideous fold down forward facing rear seats - which massively cut into the load area, even when folded.
Did they all come with these?
I'm assuming they're relatively easily unboltable?

Yep, most things in a Defender unboilt so to speak. Holes will need to be blanked and you may have to alter seat count with the DVLA and inform insurance companies

Be aware they are slow, noisey and not that safe. However I'm guessing you are buying for the cool factor.

I'd recommend a Discovery 3 or 4, which will be in budget if you are looking at 2010 110 CSWs. Incredibly comfortable and roomy. Just as capable off road too.
Thanks
Sort of buying for the cool factor -always wanted one.
The rest of the fleet is a VX 220 turbo and a 335d (which just isn't big enough but is great for any journey where it's not 4 + dog + stuff).
Unbelievably the shortlist is 110, D4 or L322.
Totally different vehicles, similar purchase price, probably massively different total costs of ownership.
I have my eyes open when it comes to how crap (by modern standards) a Defender will be to drive - but I like the future value and minimal maintenance costs.
