Sold my L405 a few weeks back for an M5 but realised that I need a 4x4 for knocking around the Devon lanes. Getting this on on Sunday from a family member who has looked after it well for the past 13 years. Looking forward to getting it. Its just had new discs, front calipers, pads and wheels. Full LR service history and fresh MOT. The tyres are my preferred choice as well along with the V8 petrol engine!

Have wanted one of these for years. Have never had enough brave pills.
As I know the history of the car and how well its been looked after I would hope that I won't come a cropper! We will see. However at £3.5k I think its a bargain compared to what I could have bought if I had been looking at a defender or series 3 LR. If I had managed to find a wreck at that price.

Thanks guys .. It does seem pure in some ways with its 18 inch wheels and no privacy glass. I used my L405 as a mile muncher doing 17K miles a year. This L322 will be used for less than 2K miles I think. Duties around the poor conditioned country lanes, extreme weather emergency vehicle, pulling my old tractor back to the house when it breaks down in a field, trailering my classic cars to the various garages and possibly some green laning.

I've done 550 miles since buying it. There are no rattles and it just glides over potholes etc. So far just need some wiper blades.

That’s a crazy amount of car for £3.5k!
My partner is wondering why I turned up at her house yesterday in a £3.5K car but I love it!

500+ miles in and I'm loving it. I feel quite attached to it already. Its great for the terrible lanes around here and wafts along on the motorway fine. The rear passenger door keeps sticking in the locked position, the drivers window is very slow and the parking sensor comes on all the time when reversing but apart from that its great. Treated it to a cheap new personalised plate Y123MUD which I thought was appropriate.

Its going well. A couple of times I've had slower acceleration from standstill, feels like the clutch isn't being let out fully. The door that wouldn't open has started unlocking now, probably because its started to be used regularly. Changing the wipers at the weekend and getting rid of the wheel locks.

This was one of my gremlins yesterday it was stuck in low gear whilst in 1st gear and then the HDC started flashing and the EAS message came on . its worth getting a reader . Had mine two years now and don't use it often I have only done 2k in two years and I think this may well be one of the problems with not using it. However it drives like nothing else and the V8 is lovely.
Thats what I was told too

Well I've had it since January and done just under 2K miles and haven't had to do anything except fill it up. Checked the levels for the first time last night and they don't need topping up. The warning lights have now gone and other issue has gone ... as its being used now possibly. its been great in all weathers although with the recent good weather I've noticed that the aircon needs sorting.

The other car/ van was a mess. His fault going too quick down a single lane country road.
