The service light has come on for my 3.0 disco 5 (9k miles 2 years old in feb). Upon calling the local dealer, I’ve been informed that it’s missed it’s 12 month service and it’s now due 2 year or 24k service.

Question, car is running fine, so do I call LR and log a complain the car service light has only just come on and ask for assurance the warranty will not be affect or just get it serviced and plead ignorance if there is an issue in the future ?

I don’t plan on selling any time soon and I have read some issues with these 3.0 units.

Thanks

another thing, over £700 for a service at LH and I've called around for cheaper, but no luck

thanks for the comments, we're changed from an x5 40d, had it 5 years, fab car, faultless, but need 7 seats and isofix is a big draw.

disco 5 is a great car, ride is 100% better, and engine doesnt need ringing out to get moving unlike the 40d (although the bmw is much quicker once going)

bought the car 8 month's old private at a considerable discount to new with only 600 miles on the clock. Sadly, the service plan wasnt taken out the the previous owner.
