P400e lease deal - anyone else?

Did anyone else get in on the decent deals towards the end of last year? I ordered back in October '19 for a January '20 delivery, however that slipped to this week, which has now slipped to the end of Feb - I'm not holding my breath for then either!
I went for the metallic black, privacy glass and black headliner as the only options, HSE Dynamic spec. My commute is 6 miles each way of mainly queuing/town, the most regular trips I do are to my gf's, town, mates houses and my parents - all of which are within 10 miles of my house so I'm hoping to be running it on mainly electric for at least 75% of journeys. This should offset the longer trips I do when I can't use the batteries, with my only worry being our UK holidays, where the battery will likely be depleted on the journey there, leaving me with only the petrol engine for the rest of the trip and the journey home.
I've been looking into wall chargers and I can get a 7kw charger installed for under £300 so I'll probably get that done whilst the grants are still around - again if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears! I'm currently talking to this company www.projectev.co.uk
I'd be really interested to hear anyone else's experiences (especially if you already have yours) or if anyone's order has been delayed like mine!

The great thing about PHEV is that you don't have to worry. You can always fill up on a long journey when you get low on petrol. No public charger anxiety.Shrimpvende said:

I'm just beginning to research the chargers. It sounds like you control the charging from the car, so a basic charger is probably all that is needed. My wife likes the Andersen one, though, which has a stylish case and is one of the most expensive! My delivery has again been pushed back, although it's now been confirmed for w/c 9th March and I've been given my registration number, so I'm a little happier. March is still a far cry from 'mid January' as first expected though!
So it finally turned up!
So far I'm really really happy and massively pleasantly surprised with it. I had tried to get a charger fitted, however the electrician found that the cable between my garage and my house (where it takes its feed from) isn't thick enough to support a 7kw charger. Annoying, but I'm making do with a socket for now until I work out if I really need the charger as it sounds like it's going to be expensive to sort.
I tested the electric range from a full charge properly last night. I did 28 miles to a friend's house over a mix of roads including a stint on dual carriageway. The battery ran out after around 25 miles, however although it was showing 0 range it was still pulling away on electric and I could see it assisting the engine on the screen animation. I was at 95mpg by the time I got home, just in normal driving mode and sticking to speed limits. This is about as far as I regularly go, so I'm very impressed! It's really smooth and silent in electric mode, although you can't feel the petrol engine kicking in either. I really expected the petrol engine to be a bit crap when the battery ran out, as we have an XF at work with the 250PS 2l petrol and it's not the most refined thing, however in the RRS you don't even notice it. I think the fact you never feel it idling helps with this.
I commuted in properly with a full charge today and it used 30% of the battery getting here in the traffic, so it seems I can definitely get here and back in EV mode only. I guess my usage profile suits it as I'm 6 miles of mostly urban traffic each way with only a short dual carriageway stretch. I'm also only about 4 miles from the city centre on 30/40mph roads, so it should have no trouble getting me to town and back on electric.
I'm going for a weekend away in Oxford this weekend so I'll be interested to see how it does on a longer trip with no charge. I think as 80% of my driving is likely to be on electric only (or very minimal petrol) it won't really matter if its down to 30mpg or so without the batteries as this more than makes up for it. Overall I should see some decent fuel savings over my previous daily Octavia VRS petrol, which averaged about 35mpg over its 2 years with me. It might also offset some of the carbon emissions from my Aston!

So I’m thinking it makes sense to spend a bit more, plus they look good.
I’ve barely even driven the car as I really am staying in, but one thing I’ve noticed is that I’m sure it’s supposed to come with internal ambient lighting, however I can’t seem to find it on the menu to adjust the colours etc.. anyone else had any luck?
