Why does the EU need all my information?

Had to send off...well everything to the EU a few years into directorship.

Passport, address, telephone numbers, bank address, sort code, everything you can think of.

This is worrying now because all UK businesses will have all their details on some database in the EU when we are no longer in the EU. Does this not worry anyone else?

I changed address recently and in light of leaving the EU, should I be sending the EU new details?

Surprised you don't have to send it all to the US too given that they think they own the internet...

One of my businesses sells kindle titles through Amazon KDP, which is nearly every country in the world.

I don't get why Brussels needs all my info when I am registered at the companies house in the UK. Further more they asked for all my bank details which even companies house did not ask for (IIRC, that was a long time ago).

Doesn't anyone else find it somewhat disturbing that every company in the UK has their details logged in Brussels because we are in the EU but we are about to leave the EU and the EU is not happy with that decision?
