Discussion
Hello,
We're thinking about trying to organise a charity dinner for a very popular local charity. The dinner will hopefully have 4-5 prominent regional sportspeople attending, with very strong regional interest in the particular sport.
We're working on numbers and would like to keep ticket prices low-ish to keep it as accessible as possible and to maximise charity profits. We'd therefore like to secure sponsorship for the event.
We hope for around 250 people, plus regional radio and newspaper promotion.
I know to an extent it's "how much a company is willing to pay" but generally how much do people think this would be worth to a company?
Any advice/guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

The events I attend usually want £2k-£3k to sponsor a dinner. In return they get their name on the menu, a thanks for the speaker and some banners out the front. With the sponsorship, tickets are usually around the £120 mark.
These are industry events with key decision makers in attendance.

We're in the process of organising one at the moment at Hampton court.
As a business we're covering all the costs with any tables sold or sponsorship going to our charity of choice.
£200 a ticket or £2k for a table of 10
Wow. We're probably going to sell tickets for £55 each, but it's in the midlands. As a business we're covering all the costs with any tables sold or sponsorship going to our charity of choice.
