Self build website recommendations

Please!

I would like to build my own using one of the myriad of self build platforms.
I need to have approx. 200 items on it in different sections each with multiple photos (as many as 12 ) and text.
No need at the moment to be able to take payments from it, although that may change.
Ability to add items at any time whilst others may be removed.
User friendly from both ends!

I am not very tech savvy although I am always willing to learn and I have the time to do so.
I'm sure I've forgotten plenty of other important stuff!

I have just been talking to someone re wordpress and it sounds as though it will probably be the best for my requirements.
The wix etc sites scare me!

In (very recent) hindsight I think you’re right. I have spoken to a small local company who specialise in Wordpress - the owner gives talks about it - and I am going to be able to get something up and running for c.£5/600. Will include post setup advice as well.
I do like to keep business local where possible.

As an aside, what do you reckon for Saturday? Coys!!!
