Been thinking of purchasing a vinyl printing machine for my current business for a line of products, but to get more use out of it I’ve been looking into printing brand logo stickers to sell - Porsche, Renaultsport, Brembo etc.

Whats the legalities / copyright issues with doing this? Do the manufactures not care or think it’s worth fighting?

This is the sort of thing that gained my interest with the logo printing - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231605239309 - Nearly £3k of sales through that listing alone, times that by 50 or so listings and you've got a nice little side earner. But as has been said its dodgy territory, so probably a non starter.

Out of interest, which vinyl cutting machine are you looking at? Thinking of buying too.
My research hasn't quite got to that stage yet hehe

Yeh it's not the done thing really.

As others have said, its a bit of a gamble and you may get away with it for a while/forever. But bit of a delboy way to make money if you ask me.

I have a fair bit of experience plotting and applying vinyl and garment graphics, it was my day job for around 10 years.

What sort of merch do you have in mind? Vinyl is not really the most efficient way of doing things for most applications, better for bespoke stuff really.

Also, do you have good experience with vector graphics and design software such as Adobe Illustrator / Coral Draw? There's a fair bit of setup required before you can click 'Go' and start plotting, even simple graphics can cause problems if the artwork isn't setup or traced correctly.

Just a few things to bare in mind!
This is the sort of thing I'd initially be looking to print - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130844252588

Just basic number stickers for different Motorsport applications. Only variation between them would be background and number colour.

I have minimal experience with design software but could get the help if needed - would even this fairly simple design be difficult to execute?

If you had any recommendations for a decent but basic machine too that'd be appreciated!
