With the current Covid19 situation sales on my website have increased. I only set up a basic weebly site and used paypal to accept payment. I feel this is holding me back now. I have tried integrating the smart buttons to accept credit/debit card but I get an error when trying to buy "something went wrong" with a box "try again" and then it works. This looks st so it's not use. Googling seems to provide others have same problem.
I've had a look round and it seems to be stripe or square as the alternatives. Can anyone offer some experience of either? Or other thoughts on my problem.

You should be able to use PayPal invisibly - I.e. people can pay with cards, Apple etc before you look into other providers try and bottom out your problem. Otherwise stripe is really popular and easy to integrate, another one growing really fast is checkout.com
I think that is paypal checkout. I have to be a developer, create a sandbox account etc and that's beyond me. I just wanted a simple copy paste code (which they do, but doesn't want to work for me)

Thank you very much for the offer. I signed up to square and connected to my Weebly site in minutes. Someone has ordered and used debit card via square. Just waiting for it to appear in my bank account. Cheaper than PayPal also.
