Not another corona thread...

With a lot of the COVID travel restrictions having been relaxed recently, some of the public have clearly decided to start going abroad.

I’m sure the people who booked Spanish holidays are now pretty pissed with the 2wk quarantine ruling - not to mention their employers who now have to lose their staff for further time after an already tough year.

You could view the quarantine in Spain as a sign of things to come, with other popular holiday destinations likely to follow at some point?

With this in mind would you fellow employers consider enforcing a mandatory week of quarantine on any trip outside the UK - with a view of being ahead of the curve to protect your business and its other staff.

We employ a range of staff from 20 somethings who fail to recognise COVID even exists and are probably already in Spain (who would kick off), through to the older ones who are terrified for the lives of their elderly parents (who will now be even more terrified).

Interested to see the various views. Please consider that in my business not everybody can WFH - thus if somebody in the premises gets it the whole place has to shut and everybody loses out.

Cheers.

This. If they can work from home it’s win win
This is the problem, we have people working from home - but the entire thing falls flat on its face if the people cant send goods from the warehouse!
