I was in Curries / PC World tonight and was seconds away from walking out with one until i remembered there is some sort of announcement tomorrow?

What do we think the release of the 3rd iPad will do to the 2nd residuals?

I didn't mean the used market. I meant new ones that will clear the way for the 3rd revision.

A little wound up tonight are we not?

I knew what you meant so I'm not sure why you are getting awkward replies, last year the iPad 1 dropped to £299 alongside the release of the ipad2. I am tempted to get another iPad2 for that price !
Such is the way of PH at times.

I had an iPad before but sold it due to lack of use but it was in the early days of the iPad 1 and there wasn't really that much to do with it.

Now the whole family can find something to do with it, i have a 4 year old that is able to use it for some games / educational stuff, i can put it on the back of the seat and play a film on long journeys through the car's audio ic an use it for work, the wife can use it to spend any money i thought i had left.

I want one now but i'll kick myself if i buy one and the price drops by £100.

I'll see how the next few days go.

David.

Yes, the argument will be that you can have a 3 for what you would have paid for a 2 anyway.... We both know what will happen.

Quad core graphics as well as iSight camera. Did they really call it iSight?

Anyway, tech crunch are following it as always - http://techcrunch.com/2012/03/07/live-from-the-app...

For everyone who's ordering a new iPad it looks as though there is an issue with some existing games on the new screen. One of the development frameworks I use has an issue with the new screen and won't display correctly.

There is a simple fix (basically adding a couple of lines of code), but it means everyone who uses this framework will have to resubmit their apps, and I can't see Apple getting through everything in time, there's generally a weeks delay between submission and approval anyway. So don't be surprised for the first week or two all your apps won't work!
and this is why waiting a wee while is a must.

While not the best deal in the world I've just bought a 32gb iPad 2 for £399, maybe gives an indication of used prices.
