ADSL connection dropping

After fruitless Google trawling, I'm sure a PHer can offer some useful suggestions.
I run ADSL through a Belkin wireless modem / router. Everything is fine until I receive an incoming call on the landline. This causes the ADSL connection to be dropped. The connection has to be manually reinstated using the router's control panel. It will drop again when the landline call is terminated.
Before I phone BT and get a line check done, has anyone had similar experiences and, if so, how were they resolved ??

I have a genuine BT µfilter and my phone 'system' consists of a four way wireless set of which only the Master is connected to the analogue side of the µfilter.
I do have a number of extension sockets which existed before I moved to this house but none of these have anything connected.
I'm kinda stumped at the moment.
Edited after reading the last sentence - I didn't think it necessary to have µfilters in all of the vacant extensions - live & learn, eh ? I'll give it a go.

You're right; you dont need a filter if the socket has nothing plugged in to it.
A common error is to miss the Sky digibox. If it's plugged in to the phone line, it too needs a filter.
Sky Digibox - yes.
Connected to phone line - never.
But thanks for the info, will archive it in the memory bank.

I had the same problem with my ADSL line, I reported the problem to my ISP and they got BT to have a look, it turned out to a problem with the line earthing when receiving calls.
Cheers Panclan - seems a sensible approach as my phone line and ADSL are both provided by BT. Whether that's a good thing or not remains to be seen.
