KODI Vs IPTV. outside UK
Discussion
Please can anyone provide general advice on boxes using KODI and IPTV.
I have rented an apartment in Spain for Jan, Feb and March next year, it has good Internet speed. I already have a VPN account. Is it possible to use this with a KODI enabled gizmo and, if so, which is the most practical to use?
I have seen IPTV down there and it works well, do KODI boxes work just as well?
Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks

HELP PLEASE
OK. So, I am now in Spain with a KODI programmed FIRE TV box. The person I bought it from is no longer contactable. It is connected and I can follow the instructions to a TV guide that has the stuff that I want to watch.
If I select a program, say BBC1, it pauses and then goes back to the guide. If I use the backup Chanel for BBC1, then I get another screen to Browse for as streaming source, but no further.
Please can some one say what I am doing wrong? Do I need to install a VPN? Presumably, if I do that I can just watch stuff on the iPlayer on the front end of the homepage?
Thanks

Unfortunately I already use Amazon Music to ensure I have access to my music via Sonos, in UK, France and Spain, so switching is not an option. This was why I posed my question at the start of this thread.
Presumably, you are saying that the location of the account is important, so perhaps a VPN will work? Which was another issue, I was desperate to get to the bottom of before coming here.
Thanks for your input.

Thanks for everyone's input.
I eventually found something called Mobdro and after that everything works normally - at least for me. So got to see Sherlock.
The reality is I am not sure what KODI is, it's just something I have read about. Then like the Internet in general, I do not understand why someone has a server making all this stuff possible.
