Has it hit the U.K. Yet? Mine was delivered of Wednesday and within 10 minutes all 3 points were set up. Due to it being Mesh and not abnormal extender these have fixed so many wifi issues in my house including all the dead spots.

I'm sure I could do the same with another product but google wifi is extremely easy to set up and administer. Also, in theory, google aren't meant to be stealing browsing history for reselling.

Anyone else got one?

I've tested the internet speeds in all my dead spots and I'm getting about 50meg up and down on a line that is about 90 in to the house. I'm also getting 3 bars of wifi signal. I will admit I have cheated a little because my wifi point where I had most issues is hard wired as well as Mesh. This was the deciding point for me in that I can utilize the cat 5 to get the best speed but also use the Mesh to get the full coverage. Also, they aren't bad looking and I've turned the lights off so now they are on show. I think this helps a lot.

Very pleased with mine so far. I did have to set up the mesh again once but that takes a couple of minutes.

I'd recommend it if you need the Mesh. I'm not sure one unit alone would be worth investing in if you already have a router. The mesh has saved a decent amount of mobile data as that's what we relied on previously and we aren't unlimited data.

What benefits would Google Wifi/Bt Whole home bring over doing it yourself with some AP's?
Seamless wifi. APs have different names and you have to choose the strongest one. Mesh is one network and you can walk around with no issue.

care to expand on that...
AP's do not have to have different names

You can walk around
I have tried multiple AP solutions including configuring existing routers and then also buying dedicated AP extensions. All have been clunky/st. This might be down to the size of house I am trying to cover though.

That was exactly my experience going to Mesh. claimed speeds on APs were just a dream. I was expecting a drop on APs but I was getting 25%.

Having said that, don't trust the google app for download speeds. It "might" be just testing you incoming internet speed. Do a speed test from your devices. Even after doing that and hiding in the basement toilet I was getting great speeds where previously I got nothing.
