Virgin cabling wall box query
Discussion
Hi folks
I have 3 wall boxes in the house of which I'm only using one.
As I'm having some building work done I want to move the virgin TiVo and broadband router into another room.
However the brown box on the outside wall is connected to the other wall box which I'm not using. So can I just unplug the one I don't want from the splitter thing in the outside wall box and connect up the box I want to use? It's in the outside box and looks like it can just be swapped over on the splitter? Or will this trigger some issUe with virgin and i will lose everything?
Any thoughts greatfully reveived.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply Jimboka
Yes I agree that its worth a punt.
I think it's the fear of having to call their "customer services" should anything go wrong that had me risk averse
Just to clarify, did you hook up the splitter in the "brown outside wall box" when you did the self install?
Cheers

Hi t2007p
Unfortunately im in Berkshire but appreciate the offer
The box i'm trying to connect to has "NTL" on it and im wondering if it is too old? It must be around 10 years old i reckon.
I have left the "Omnibox" connected to the "NTL" wall socket but im not sure what options are left. I thought it was a 50/50 as to whether it would work.
Cheers
