My Nexus 7 (2013) is slowly dying. Nothing wrong speed wise (it's running Nougat) but the USB connector is iffy and the battery is poor. I was hoping to replace it with the rumored new Pixel / Nexus 7. But it seems increasingly unlikely this is going to be announced with the new Pixel phones (If it is ever released at all).

What I ideally want is:

1200 x 1920 or better resolution
3GB+ Memory
64GB+ Storage (32GB + SD Card may be OK)
Octa Core CPU (Snapdragon 835 or equivalent would be nice)
Nougat or Oreo OS.

I don't want a bigger tablet as I find them uncomfortable to hold one handed. I have an iPad Mini 2 which I don't use due to this. Slightly smaller might work and something like a Xaomi Mi Max 2 with a 6.4" display is tempting. Far too big as a phone but might just do me as a tablet. Really cant find any 7 inch tablets with a decent spec!

Not a fan of Samsung because of the bloatware. The Zenpad is a possibility but I would need to physically try one to see if I could hold it comfortably.
