I've bought my son an Xbox one for Christmas (jammy bugger). A neighbour had one that he bought but never had time to use so it's all boxed up but there are no games or joypads (is that still what they're called?) with it.

Anyone know the best deal around for a couple of pads?

I'm also from the generation of buying physical discs of games but I'm guessing most stuff is downloaded these days?

I've got a PS3 and the boy has currently got an Xbox 360 but their memory capacity isn't big enough to hold full versions of "proper" games (ok for Worms and the like but not Fifa/Halo etc.)

Sorry to sound like a dinosaur (I'm 36!) but I'm a bit out of touch with all this as I'm far too busy with life to play a lot of games at the moment.

Thanks Josh... I'll double-check the box. Just in case anyone was wondering (this is PH after all) it's definitely a 100% legit console and my neighbour is a trustworthy chap.

Ended up buying two pads and a charging dock/rechargeable battery packs form Amazon today for a shade over £90 all in.

Bloody dear but essential.

A tip. Plug it in somewhere and connect it to the interwebs before Christmas.

Let it update so that when he opens it on Christmas Day he doesn’t have to stare at an update screen for a few hours.
Cheers Mr E. A mate of mine has bought one for his lad too and gave me the same tip on Friday so I'll do it when my boy is in bed one night this week. Nothing worse than getting a shiny new toy at Xmas and not being able to use it. Particularly if that means I have to forego my walk to the pub so I can set it up! drink
