I have both at present but my Mac is pretty old now and way out of date, really needs to have a new battery not a major problem but the operating system is old old.

My Ipad is now playing up, i.e. won’t always charge and sometimes only 50% plus other things.

Now if you were buying new and don’t want two items for cost would you buy a small mac to use or an I pad.
I pad is easier to carry around and use v the Mac and no apps.

Thanks in advance

what model is the Mac, from what year?

Swapping out disk and memory and new OS will give it a new lease of life
I can’t actually remember how old it is but at least 10yrs old
It is a Mac Book Pro15”
Mac OSX- Version 10.6.8
Processer Speed:-2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory:- 4Gb
SMC Version 1.33f8

I would be very interested in any advice of what I can get done to it that would give it a new lease of life.

Thank you.

To be fair I've never seen anybody doing any proper work with any Apple device or Windows device for that matter on a train.

Seems to be the thing to get out Macbook,Ipad or Laptop and scroll through emails that clearly aren't new and then randomly open documents and close them.

Just so people can see you have said device with you.
I think that is a very pathetic comment from a person who hates Mac products or can’t afford one, in my opinion from a genuine question .
Don’t waste your time replying !
Look at the way that Graphic Artists use mostly Apple Mac products
