I've got a Samsung smart TV (55HU8200). I've been using it for Netfix for a couple of years with no problems.

Last week I signed up for Amazon Prime so that I could take advantage of a "Prime Day" offer, and have been watching "The Grand Tour" for the last few days. I can search for and find videos on Prime with no problems, and they play perfectly.
However, I can't pause or stop them, as the transport controls don't seem to do anything after the video has been playing for a minute or so. I can fast forward through the opening credits OK, but after that I have to watch the whole video until it ends. I can't even exit the app until the video has finished and the TV goes back to the "episodes" menu. The only way out is to switch off the TV.

At first I thought that I'd mis-programmed the new Harmony remote, but the original TV remote does the same thing. If I use the Netflix app on the TV, all the controls work fine.

It looks like the Prime app on the TV must be messed up, but I can't see any way to update or reinstall it. Automatic updates for apps is enabled, and I've tried a manual software update. Anyone else having similar problems? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Whilst googling for a solution, I noticed that BT TV have released a Prime app on their TV boxes. Unfortunately my box is the 4K version, and BT haven't rolled out the Prime app to that model yet. I don't use the BT box for Netflix, as it doesn't appear to do 4k - despite having a 4k box, subscription and TV

Short of buying a proper Android TV, what's the best way to watch both Netflix and Prime in 4k using a single box?
