Laser printer - transfer belt drum cleaning envelope residue

Big patchy black streak down every page, after someone in the office printed onto the back of a load of envelopes and the adhesive got onto the belt.

What can you used for cleaning it. Most guides just say wipe with a lint free cloth but that is clearly not going to cut it here!

Not my printer, but its doing my head in. Thoughts welcome.
