Iphone 11, or One Plus 7T pro (or other Android)?
Discussion
I am currently on an iPhone 7. I want to get something with a better camera. I am only really interested in an amazing camera and great battery life
I am told that most apps will transfer over, but once like banking etc I’ll need to call my bank etc to let them know. I assume there will be some new verification process.
I am prepared for a little bit of drama, but would like to hear about anyone who has made the change from Apple.
I was thinking of the One Plus 7T pro, but also the Google Pixel 4 (when it comes out), or the Samsung S10. It would be easier to stick with Apple
Views much appreciated

All possible to switch but I'd make sure that *everything* Apple-centric is sorted out with an alternative before you do.
iCloud, iMessage, iTunes, photos/backup, calendars, notes, reminders, contact sync, etc. If you have things you do on Apple services with other family members (we have family photos in iCloud, for example), figure out what you'll use instead and migrate everyone to that first. Any apps you've bought will have to be bought again on Android.
It can be anything from a very straightforward transition to a complete nightmare depending on how heavily you rely on the things Apple provides.
The iPhone 11 camera is great and the backup/restore process from an older iPhone is very easy, so IMO you'd have to have something really compelling to want to switch.
Thanks for that, given me lots to think aboutiCloud, iMessage, iTunes, photos/backup, calendars, notes, reminders, contact sync, etc. If you have things you do on Apple services with other family members (we have family photos in iCloud, for example), figure out what you'll use instead and migrate everyone to that first. I use the google photos app for all my picture storage, so don’t need to rely on icloud and pay for extra storage. I also use Spotify and not Apple music.

If money isn't an object then probably a Pixel 4 as long as the release tomorrow and subsequent reviews are good. I had a play with the older Oneplus 7 Pro in John Lewis today and it was a lovely hardware device.
My biases, current happy Oneplus 6T user, considering Pixel 4xl, Oneplus 7T and 7T pro. 6T will be handed down to family member. Oxygen OS is great and maybe slightly better than stock android. Not an Apple hater as we all use Macs in our family but I think Android is just less restrictive and better, for me at least.
Thank you all for the tips. The Google Pixel 4 was my other android choice, but was only thinking of the One Plus because of the price. In reality is the Google worth the extra £300 or so? Thanks again
Well that's given me loads to think about.
It's probably best to stick with Apple if the new 11 is supposed to be so good and the views on the various androids seem so mixed. Good battery life and camera/video work for me and obviously less hassle migrating from my 7.
Thank you again :-)

Thanks, I have it now, went for a collection at the Covent Garden store. I'm trying to work out why my photos haven't transferred over from my old phone, even though I logged in via icloud, but I'll get there in the end.
Thanks for all the help. The phone feels solid, good quality, good 20-30% increase in screen size from the iPhone 7. I've yet to play around with the camera, but am happy with it so far.
