More stupid Linux questions

Thanks to the help from PH I got over my ALSA/Debian issue by ditching Debian and installing Ubuntu as suggested. So thanks for that.

Now, in part two of the epic saga 'Linux for complete bloody numpties' is there anyway of specifying which application autoruns on insertion of a CD?

Currently if I stick a music CD in I get sound juicer popping up, I dont want that but another application.

I take it this is fairly easy if you know where to look, its just I dont, numpty you see.

Now, not being in front of my Linux machine.

Can I specify command switches through the control app manager?

I've been doing some reading and apparently autorun --/dev/cdrom will call a script when a cd is inserted which would be ideal as the application I want to run needs to run without any user interaction at all, mainly due to the fact that its not going to have a monitor.
