Right. Please use small, easily understood words in any reply as I'm not very computer literate

I keep getting a problem with IE not loading properly - it just pops up a send error report message. This I could live with (ie ignore) but it's started freezing when I try and open a link on a thread. I can open it by right clicking and open in new window, but if I left click it freezes.

One of the suggestions the IE problem page comes up with is to sort out a fix for a yahoo toolbar problem, as it also suggests turning off third party add ons I figured I'd simply get rid of the toolbar as I never use it.

So, in short how do I get rid of Yahoo toolbar or failing that at least turn it off.

Tried that. It still pops up when I first open IE, and if I drag over text I still get a little yahoo Y appear.

Do you specifically need IE to be your default browser ?

If not, why not try Firefox ? Way preferable to IE, IMHO

Cheers guys, back home now and I don't have either of those options when I follow your instructions. I'm using IE6 and Windows XP.

How about start, settings, control pannel, add/remove programs - find it in the list and remove from there?
